Gemini, represented by the twins, is the third sign in the zodiac, following Taurus. Gemini is a mutable air sign associated with the color yellow and ruled by the planet of communication, Mercury. Gemini is the sign of communication. Like their cousins in solar Gemini, Lunar Gemini's are witty and charming. However, as the moon rules our emotional side, a lunar Gemini's ever changing emotions can make them moody and irritable at times. A lunar Gemini can be restless, their ability to see all sides of an issues can often leave them in their head worrying about the possible outcomes of things. These signs love communication, they are happy to talk about their feelings and talk out problems that arise. They need lots of stimulation, and these signs are often big fans of reading or chatting with interesting new people. This moon positions is often unsettled, and heavy emotions can be difficult for this airy moon sign to bear. However, lunar Gemini is open to new ideas, thoughtful, communicative, analytical, and witty.

Ascendent Gemini is fond of learning, and sees the world as a place with endless opportunities to learn new things. Ascendent Gemini is also sociable, using the knowledge they obtain from the world to move up in their social circles. Full of questions, ascendent Gemini can be impatient in getting answers to their endless curiosities. They are extremely clever, and this cleverness can be intimidating to some at times. However, other air signs find it easy to bond with this cleverness and enjoy the mental stimulation that an ascendent Gemini provides. Ascendent Geminis are often either talkative and bubbly, or quiet intellectuals. Whichever camp they fall in, communication is always a strong suit. There is also an enjoyment of debate in these signs that can either be stimulating or annoying to those around them.
