Astrology Spotlight: Leo
The fifth sign in the zodiac is the fixed fire sign of Leo, represented by the lion. Associated with the colors red and gold and ruled by the sun, Leo is known for ruling the 5th house, inspiring creativity, and having self confidence. Understanding how Leo works in our charts is important to understanding the building blocks of our astrological make up.
Sun:
Leo sun signs make a strong impression. They are known for their self-confidence, ambition, and strength. These dramatic signs are enthusiastic, talented, and warm. Just like other Leo positions, lunar Leo enjoys being the center of attention. However, lunar Leo is not nearly as outgoing as other Leo positions, making them less assertive and more in the background. Lunar Leo seeks control in life to feel secure, and likes to be the leader of their family or of the projects which they work on. They should be careful that they do not try too hard to control those around them, but rather work on learning to control their own emotions. Lunar Leo is one of the most creative sign positions. Creativity is deeply tied to their emotional state, and they enjoy the ability to express themselves and receive attention for their creative work. Lunar Leo needs a lot of love and attention from those they feel close to in order to feel safe and secure in the world. When deprived of this, they become needy, and most often times melodramatic. Lunar Leo is sensitive and creative, but should be careful not to be controlling and needy.
Ascendent:
This signs begs to be noticed. When an ascendent Leo walks into a room, you feel their energy and presence right away. This sign is very aware of both themselves and others, asc. Leo seeks to make a good impression and be the star of their own life. These signs are known to pay close attention to their physical appearance and like to be flattered. They are prone to a bit of temper tantrums when they do not get things their way, however, and should be careful to take into account the needs and feelings of those around them. These signs can overestimate things in life, this includes themselves. While these sings come across as very confident, they are often insecure do to the fact that they are very hard on themselves. These signs are very driven, however, and asc. Leo seeks to go far in life. Passionate and creative, these signs are natural promoters and mood boosters for those around them.
